Visitors

The centre is open to all visitors, not just those using our conference facilities. Why not meet up with friends in our café or browse the gift shop? Our beautiful and extensive grounds are in the heart of Ashdown Forest so visitors can take the opportunity to follow the nature trail and meet the flock of Hebridean sheep grazing our land.

Love cats? Pop in and visit the current resident felines in our National Cat Adoption Centre.

Events
We also hire out our rooms for non-business events, so if you’re looking for a unique place to celebrate an anniversary or family celebration then we can make it a day to remember. For our children’s birthday parties we provide party food, cake and a Cats Protection goody bag for each child. We can also arrange for a tour of the National Cat Adoption Centre, a quiz and a ‘cuddling’ session with the cats – it’s a great way for children to have fun and also learn about animal care.

Educational talks and tours
From Brownies to senior citizen groups, from educational community groups to visiting schools – we welcome the opportunity to show visitors what we have to offer. With prior arrangement we can arrange a talk and a behind-the-scenes tour at the National Cat Adoption Centre. Contact us to find out more.

Cafe
Open daily from 10am-4pm, there is always a tempting selection of hot and cold food, snacks and delicious cakes available from the cafe. The majority of the food is cooked fresh on the premises and we use locally-sourced produce wherever possible. There’s also free Wi-Fi access for all our customers.

Gift shop
Our gift shop stocks everything a cat owner could need, as well as a selection of giftware, jewellery and cards.
